Charlie Ramnani runs women’s circles in Bishop’s Stortford, creating free spaces where women can gather, talk, support each other and build real connection. Her work began with Stroll for Your Soul, a walking and talking group she started 10 years ago, before growing into women’s circles, empowerment workshops and drum circles.
In this conversation, Charlie explains how the circles began and why they matter. For her, the goal is simple: to recreate some of the village feeling that many people feel has been lost. The circles are open, supportive and designed to be accessible, especially for women who may be craving connection or going through a difficult period in life.
The episode also touches on the wider importance of community in Bishop’s Stortford. Charlie reflects on the women she has seen form friendships, find support and grow in confidence through the circles, and on why affordable, welcoming community spaces matter more than ever.
